Why use Web proxy?

Web proxy servers serve two primary purposes: network security and performance. An integrated Web proxy organization can save bandwidth costs if the server caches large files such as images and media. The cost of building a Web proxy is usually low, so IT is an inexpensive part of IT with cost-saving benefits.
1.Anonymous internal IP address
In today's corporate world, employees must have access to the Internet, but providing open, unrestricted access to the Internet leaves companies vulnerable to multiple threats. When an employee connects to a server controlled by the attacker, the outgoing IP address is logged on the server. Normally, this is a router IP address, but an attacker can use this IP for a denial of service (DoS) attack. It can also tell an attacker that your employees are browsing the site, enabling the attacker to create more targeted attacks, such as phishing.
2.Cache and performance benefits
When a user accesses a web site in a browser, the browser caches the file to local storage. The next time a user opens a web site, the browser first looks for files in the cache and uses them to display content. Site owners and users can choose not to allow caching, but users typically configure their browsers to display cached data rather than download files each time they visit the site. Using cached content improves Web browsing performance.
3.Block unwanted content
Companies must provide employees with Internet access, but phishing and malware pose a threat to data integrity. There are several ways to control content on a user's device, and a Web proxy server is one of them. Web proxies can be configured to block content from a specific IP address or domain.
