1. By adding a welcome layer of security, reverse proxies can effectively protect systems from network vulnerabilities. The reverse proxy sits between external clients and your internal services, preventing anyone from accessing your network directly. The less you expose your IT infrastructure, the less attractive hackers will be to your important proprietary or customer data.

This reduces the risk of attack for two reasons:

Your server is better protected from bad actors.

Hackers who prefer a site that is easy to crack will find your site more secure and move on.

2. Because the reverse proxy acts as the face of your network presence, it can host certificates and handle SSL negotiations on behalf of all your internal servers. This means that you don't need to manage multiple certificates, nor do you need to encrypt your internal network.

For greater security, build an Internet firewall that is really just a proxy with extra teeth and a suspicious mind. You can replace the basic reverse proxy with one that adds firewall functionality without changing the way any of the internal services work.

If you need multiple different proxy IP, we recommend using RoxLabs proxy, including global Residential proxies, with complimentary 500MB experience package for a limited time.
